What to Bring (CAMPER'S NAME SHOULD BE ON EVERY ITEM!)




Bedding:                 
__ Pillow                 
__ Sleeping Bag (preferred)         
__ or 2 twin sheets and a blanket         
Swimming:                 
__ Swimsuit (one-piece ONLY)     
__ Towel                 
__ Sunscreen                 
Clothing:                 
__ T-shirts (6)                 
__ Shorts (4-5 pairs)         
__ Jeans/Pants (2-3 pairs)         
__ Underwear (plenty of extra)     
__ Socks (at least 10 pairs)    
**Socks and shoes are required
Everywhere, Everyday**  
__ Sleepwear                 
__ Sweatshirt or warm jacket     
*It is chilly at night in the mountains*
Miscellaneous:                 
__ Bible and Notebook              
__ Flashlight and EXTRA batteries
__ Water bottle
__ Non-aerosol insect repellant
__ Paper, envelopes (pre-addressed),
      stamps, pens
__ Laundry bag
Toiletries:
__ Shampoo
__ Soap (in plastic container)
__ Toothbrush/toothpaste
__ Brush/comb
__ Deodorant
__ Bath Towels (4) and Washcloths (4)
__ Female sanitary products
Rain Gear:
__ Rain coat or poncho
Footwear:
__ Tennis Shoes (2-3 pairs)
     and/or Hiking Boots
**Shoes will get wet and muddy**
__ Water shoes for creek walks
      (must have backs to hold on foot)
__ Flip flops for showers only
*Additional items for adventure camp:
__ Broken-in hiking boots (if available)
__ Backpack (if available)
__ Pocketknife (Locking blades ONLY)
 
  • Please do NOT bring CELL PHONES, radios, iPods, MP3 players, CD players or other music players, candy, gum, electronic games, pagers, fireworks, comic books, cookies or other food items. These items will be confiscated and kept in the office until the end of the week.
  • Campers are asked not to wear crop tops, tube tops, or short skirts. Girls should wear one-piece swim suits and when appropriate should wear bras. Inappropriate slogans or language on clothing are not acceptable.
  • Camp Grier is a church camp, and campers should dress in a manner befitting their Christian community. Campers whose attire violates these guidelines will be asked to change clothes.
